1969: Chainman/rodman, 20th
Engineering Brigade, III Corps, South Vietnam. Duties included cross sections
and profiles of air strips, road and bridge layout, topographic maps for
fort drainage, etc.

1971 - 1975: Chainman (6 months),
Instrument Man (2.5 years) for the County of Napa. Duties included survey
instrument operation and maintenance and calculations for route surveys
for public works projects and construction layout. Survey map checker
for 12 months.
1975 - 1979: Chief of Survey Party, Thompson & Mahorney. Extensive
field experience in boundary, topographic and construction surveys. During
my employment I became a Licensed Land Surveyor (March 8, 1978).
1980 - Present: President
of Michael W. Brooks & Associates. While coordinating the work of
multiple field crews and office personnel, I have done several hundred
boundary surveys and topographic surveys, etc. I am the past President
of the Napa-Solano Chapter of the Consulting Engineers and land Surveyors
of California (CElSOC), a corporate member of the California land Surveyors
Association, and belong to the American Congress on Surveying & Mapping
(ACSM). I am an experienced expert witness in boundary dispute and quiet
title matters. I have over 25 years of surveying experience. I have spoken
at GIS symposiums on mapping systems and GPS issues.
